Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival China,2019 Orchestral 艺术节回顾

On 6th March, 22 Primary and Secondary orchestra students left for Shanghai to participate in the first Nord Anglia Performing Arts Festival China.  We had a great range of participants on the trip, from Year 5 to Year 10, and a wide range of instruments as well – violin, cello, and French horn, to name a few.

Our young musicians rehearsed very challenging repertoire with students from across our Nord Anglia China region schools all weekend at British International School Shanghai (BISS Puxi) in preparation for the big concert on 9th March.

Through our unique collaboration with The Juilliard School of Music, our students had the opportunity to perform under the baton of a professional conductor from Juilliard, Maestro Oliver Hagen. Many of our families were in the audience and were amazed at the high quality performance! The students left the stage feeling very proud, and everyone can’t wait to receive the video!

3月6日，22名中小学生赴上海参加首届诺德安达中国区艺术节。此次活动我校参演者从5年级到10年级不等，演奏的乐器也多种多样，比如小提琴、大提琴和圆号。

为了准备3月9日的大型音乐会，我校的小演奏家们不辞辛苦，整个周末都在上海英国学校浦西校区与来自诺德安达中国区其他学校的学生一起排练高难度的曲目。

通过我校与茱莉亚音乐学院的独特合作，我们的学生能够有机会在茱莉亚音乐学院专业指挥——Maestro Oliver Hagen的指挥下进行表演。我们学校许多孩子的家人也亲临现场，并对超高水平的表演惊叹不已！学生们非常自豪地完成了演出，每个人都迫不及待地想尽早看到演出视频！
